How Many Times Must I Ask?

I feel like I’ve asked my friends a dozen times what they actually do for a living. It’s not that hard to remember, but for whatever reason, I keep confusing New Haven pool contractors with Hartford pool contractors. Sure, they’re all Connecticut pool contractors, but no one really enjoys having their job forgotten so easily – I know I don’t. At least they are just my friends and not a girlfriend or spouse or something. That could prove to be a much more substantial problem than just a friend whom I don’t necessarily see very often.
Why do I bring this all up? Well, I drove all the way to Hartford the other day because I thought I was going to meet a few friends for lunch. It was a sunny day and I had taken off from work early and figured ‘why the heck not’. Unfortunately, I ended up in the middle of nowhere (not really nowhere; Hartford is plenty big enough), and had a sandwich that I had forgotten I left in my car … yes, I know. It sounds so appetizing. This is the result of my errant memory though.
