Training Class, Free Vacation, Whatever!

I work for a company that nobody has ever heard of, but everyone has heard of our major clients. I’m not going to name drop, but I am talking about a major credit card company, one of the big fast food companies, a big box store, as well as several other major player type companies. And let me tell you this: whoever thinks a career in Information Technology (IT) would be boring is kind of wrong. Sure, any job is going to have its moments, but this isn’t too bad. Plus, it’s constantly changing.
Take today for example; the boss lady comes into my office (OK, my cubicle), and informs me that I am going to get shipped off to a CISSP training course. Of course I, like almost everyone else on this planet, have no Idea what a CISSP training course is! Well it turns out that this is some kind of information technology security training class, and it’s not just some little short one day thing either. Apparently, I’m going to be out of town for like a week. Also, the lady who teaches it is supposedly some kind of famous big shot in the area of IT security, although I have never heard of Shon Harris before. Anyway, this all sounds pretty fun. At the very least, it is a free trip for me.
