When I was in my teens, I was, well, I guess you could say a bit wild. I ran with a rough crowd and was pretty much unmanageable. I got involved with the wrong guy, alcohol and drugs at a very young age. I ran away from home on a pretty regular basis and it would be nothing for me to leave our New Hampshire home and end up in Florida. Alcohol treatment was often forced on me, but it never worked. My parents finally gave up on me, kicking me out of the house.
So I headed back to Florida. Drug treatment was something that I honestly didn’t think I needed. I could stop whenever I wanted to, right? It wasn’t until I was in my early 20s that I would admit I had a serious problem.
I looked into some Florida drug treatment centers and decided on one that was close to home. It was a rough time, but I’m glad I did it. I’ve taken control of my life and my addictions and find I am much happier now. I know nothing is written in stone and that I will always be an addict, but I am very thankful that for now I am a clean one.

As a class assignment, we had to learn about various occupational schools. It was neat to find out about just how many career specific schools there really are out there.
It only makes sense that if you want to become a professional chef, you need to go to some kind of fancy chef or cooking school. And of course, that guy who did the work on our car at the auto dealership had to go to some kind of school to get all those certifications he had. Just like the way doctors have to go to medical school, and lawyers have to go to legal school, most serious professions require specific training in specific types of schools. There are some interesting ones out there, but I found one that I think stands out as the most interesting vocational type of school.
You see, that’s just the way it is with golf pros too. Believe it or not, there are specific golf colleges where one can go to learn the skills needed to pursue a golf career. It really only makes sense that it takes more than just golf skills to start a professional golf career. Of course I’m pretty sure golf skills are an essential part of though. So if you want to become the golf pro at your local golf course, it looks like you are going to need to school!

Butterfly tattoos are very popular, especially with girls and older women because of their beauty. Clean lines, beautiful symmetry and amazing colors are often associated with these tattoos, and are typically chosen because of their ties to nature. Another type of design sometimes chosen for beauty is some form of flowers or roses, although Celtic tattoos can often speak to one’s ancestors or family history. Intricacy of design and symmetry play a role in the beauty of these kinds of designs, which are often very detailed, allowing both the tattooed individual and the tattoo artist to showcase their appreciation and skill. Finding a clear and solid artwork can be difficult with these types of designs, but is necessary in order to enjoy a quality end-result. Even if you know what sort of design you would prefer, there could be hundreds of images fitting a broad description. When considering permanent tattoo, making an informed decision means making a decision you are most likely to enjoy for all your life, instead of a quick decision.

Would someone please tell my contractor that I’m the one in charge here? I mean, obviously I am; and with good reason! Please, the things he is suggesting for this remodel, I’m wondering if he got his outdoor kitchen plans from Ashton Kutcher instead of Martha Stewart. It’s heinous! You cannot have a flowing, organic, intentionally over grown garden right next to a built in grill. Aside from the burn risk, it’s just not a very natural flow. If he were even halfway decent, he would know that. Besides which, I didn’t want a built in grill, I wanted one of those separate grill islands. Really, is that impossible to do? I know it’s not, because Suzy Hanaman has one. I just want a beautiful garden for me, and an easy to clean, separate space for my boyfriend to grill. I really am throwing enough money at this man that he should be able to conjure the thing out of thin air. I’ve already decided that I’m going to hire a separate designer for the actual plants in the garden because that is so crucial and he is completely missing the mark. Who knows; at this rate, I might need a new contractor as well.

My grandmother has always had stray pets. When I was growing up she had a mutt dog that entertained her guests by climbing a crooked palm tree in her backyard. The dog would run up the tree trunk, hold on for a few seconds and slide back down. The dog was rewarded with hearty pats on the head and a bowl of canned dog food.
A few years ago a tabby cat showed up at my grandmother’s door and she christened it Pocahontas. “Poky” as my grandparents call her was especially close to my grandfather. After his death earlier this year “Poky” and my grandmother had to come to a compromise. They found companionship with each other.
My grandmother wasn’t lacking companionship, besides her friends and family, we’ve hired a college student working with family caregiver resources. The young lady went through online caregiver training courses and assists my grandmother with daily chores and errands.
The caregiver training programs are a great job resource for college students. My grandmother is thrilled with her new helper and even signed her up for the local woman’s club. Although pets are great companions for the elderly caregivers offer invaluable assistance and companionship.
