You hear a lot of tips for planning your wedding, but there’s not much about planning your honeymoon.  However, this is just as important — you want everything ready so you can just disappear into a waterfall of rice when it’s time to go, and not have to worry about last-minute details.  The only details you want to be paying attention to are the ones that have to do with consummating your marriage!

First of all, you’ll need to decide what kind of a budget you have for your honeymoon.  Sometimes the wedding costs so much that there’s not much left over for a fancy honeymoon.  My husband and I, on the other hand, were completely the opposite — our honeymoon was more important to us than the wedding itself!  You can usually get some good vacation deals if you figure out your budget and then do some comparison shopping.

You also should take care to make sure you think of — and take care of — all the details before your trip.  For instance, you don’t want to have to be scrambling to book charter flights when you are supposed to be enjoying yourself!  Getting an all inclusive package is probably your best bet, because that will make sure everything is taken care of ahead of time.
